Your new position as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) will see you work within the Component Maintenance team performing maintenance, rectification and modification on company and client aircraft components, overhauling and repairing wheels and brakes, this includes assembling, disassembly, cleaning and inspecting as per the approved instructions for continued Airworthiness. You will also be responsible of completing all documentation and reporting requirements to a high standard, as well as taking ownership and driving outcomes.
For the successful candidate, there will also be the potential for product certification qualification (NLCS) to be attained after a minimum qualification period (subject to performance and availability).
You’ll have –
Be a Qualified AME with relevant Aircraft Maintenance trade experience (Mechanical) essential
Prior experience working within components (Wheels & Brakes) advantageous
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
Commitment to being customer focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
Good communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
Highly motivated with proven problem solving and analytical skills
High attention to detail and ability to comply with Qantas Maintenance procedures
The ability to work to tight timelines with minimal supervision
Flexibility with the ability to meet changing departmental requirements
