Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Watch (MMW), the primary function of the Fleet Technical Specialist (FTS) is to provide technical support to the AMO’s, monitoring and managing A320 & B787 aircraft fleet health, AHM, Airman-Web and CHRONICX.
The Fleet Technical Specialist works with Maintenance Planning and the MSC functions to ensure rectification activity is planned effectively across the line maintenance network and defects are resolved in a timely manner. You will also work closely with reliability to identify and address recurring defects and to isolate rogue components which may be affecting fleet OTP.
Your main accountabilities include:
- Assists AMO’s with troubleshooting aircraft defects.
- Identifies parts, specialised troubleshooting needed to rectify defects and inputs into TRAX.
- Uses Skywise, CHRONICX, AHM etc. to mitigate aircraft reoccurring defects.
- Maintains a comprehensive log of TS efforts, rectifications, parts replacements on every Aircraft.
- Inputs Maintenance requirements to populate Auto EMN
- Re-plan deferred defect tasks.
- Liaise with LMP, AAC and AMO for hangar slots and manpower requirement for overnight and all day lay up defects.
- Set priorities in ports for overnight defect acquittal.
