Lufthansa Technik Engine Mechanic Careers


As the Engine Mechanic, you will perform the following duties:

  • Follow instructions from operational manager and internal processes and procedures.
  • Read and understand manufacturer maintenance documentation.
  • Perform self-reliant removal, installation and inspection tasks on engine/QEC components.
  • Sign related shop documentation after task performance.
  • Take delegated technical decisions and actions to ensure economical and on time performance of maintenance task.
  • Ensure quality standard, health and safety in the shop.
  • Support quality department by reporting occurrences, FOD checks and quality scans.
  • Support quality department for audit preparation and execution.
  • Ensure tool care.
  • Perform daily housekeeping.
  • Maintain confidentiality in relation to company issues at all times.

The ideal Engine Mechanic must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Graduate of aviation maintenance or engineering course or equivalent.
  • Disassembly/assembly of engines or QEC from/to engines preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge in human factors and aviation legislation.
  • High sense of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of English language required to read and understand rules, instructions and manuals.
  • Computer knowledge required for access rules, instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and to take responsibility.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Willing to extend knowledge and experience.
  • Willing to attend classroom and hand-on trainings.
  • Willing to work in flexible working time and shifts.
