As an Aircraft Component Technician your responsibilities and duties may include:
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, paint and modify avionics components using state-of-the-art repair techniques and test equipment in accordance with OEM specifications.
- Reads and follows plans and manuals, customer order instructions, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
- Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/repair/maintenance duties, including project layout, and completes required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
- Develop measures to increase component performance such as develop advanced repair and troubleshooting techniques, suggest candidates for surplus utilization and suggest improved tooling to increase overall efficiency
- Prepare documentation.
The ideal Aircraft Component Technician should meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- College degree/vocational training desirable.
- Professional experience is required.
- English required.
- MS Office as user.
- Must possess permit to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to travel.
- Shift work / overtime.
- Constant time pressure.
- Lift up to 70 lbs.
- Noise pollution.
- In accordance with rules and regulations, and given authorities.
